Aguimazing Kids Go to Fort Santiago and Aguinaldo Shrine

Children, nowadays, seem to have allergic reaction with almost anything and everything found in their surroundings, be it inside or outside their homes. My kids are not excluded. Sudden changes in the weather, pollution and talc seem to cause their noses to get red and runny. Slowly, I am learning how to manage their allergic reactions and here are some of the things I do:

Increase their fluid intake.

Increase their Vitamin C intake, as recommended by their pediatrician.

Give them fruits of the season.

Rub their feet and wrist with a special blend of essential oils.

Making sure they get enough and quality sleep.

If all else fails, and with pediatrician’s prescription, we use anti-histamine at night.

No matter how much I hate it when they get allergies and no matter how much I want to protect and shield them, I still wanted to boost their immunity naturally. After all, they will be living on this planet for probably around eighty more years. So, as much as possible and practicable, I encourage their natural adaptation with their surroundings, both inside and outside our home. Part of this is letting them spend time outdoors, by that I mean, open parks, public museums and other naturally-ventilated spaces. Here are our quick trips over the past months:

The Aguimazing Kids trip the Aguinaldo Shrine in Kawit cavite
Seriously doing their part – salute to Aguinaldo!
The hallway with all these old images brings you back to history.
The backyard where you can sit down, relax and enjoy the cool breeze.
In here, you’ll think we own this house. Haha.
I can imagine this area to be filled with Filipinos planning/celebrating about revolution and/or Philippine independence.
Gatherings with piano playing in the background. How grand!
One of the rooms (supposedly, one of Emilio Aguinaldo’s daughters). I love old Filipino house, don’t you?
That’s it, for the Aguimazing Kids in the amazing Aguinaldo Shrine. Btw, admission is free!

Another family favourite is, Fort Santiago in Intramuros, Manila!

Loring was obviously happy!
She stared at the pigeons enjoying the fountain for a good thirty minutes!
Despite being here in a ton of times, it was our first time to see this fountain working. Maybe because we don’t have water crisis at the moment?
Jonath, as usual, ran like his favorite wild animals!
I now keep bugging my husband to give us some backyard on our next dream house. 🙂

We were supposed to go to Skydeck, The Bayleaf Intramuros fro dinner but I was not able to reserve earlier. So, we went to one of our favorite restaurants around the area, Ristorante delle Mitre.

Romantic yet not too fancy ambiance.
My yummy Paella! the leftover, I brought to the office the next day pa! Yum talaga!
The most important thing of all, the AguimazingKids approve of them. They love it!

Super sarap to make pasyal (super nice to go around) with my children! Where do you think we should go next?
